When a large, NJ Based pharmaceutical company planned to move and re-build their existing business television edit rooms and a central equipment room. ASI was awarded the opportunity to provide our professional services to help with this plan.  ASI will assign a team of professionals who are qualified to properly execute the technical implementation of this new facility.

The Project
ASI had to coordinate the dismantling, packing and shipping of the original site system to the new location where a new configuration consisted of 11 central equipment racks, Four (4) edit rooms,  one of which doubles as studio control room. One (1) Audio Suite, One (1) Graphics Room and One (1) studio.

The design package will be provided included the full single line drawings, complete run lists and rack elevations.

ASI mounted the Routing switcher and associated jackfields in two racks at our Northvale, NJ integration facility. These racks where cabled from the jackfield to the router. The cabling that went into the jackfields was wired on the jackfield and coiled back into the rack for shipment. Once these racks arrived on-site the cables where run to their final destination. This helped to keep the downtime to a minimum. All internal cabling for the central equipment racks where run in the bottom of the racks and any cable leaving these racks was neatly laced into overhead cable trays. The cable trays ran down the main hallway by each edit room and feed into a conduit to each of the rooms. The studio has two BSP (broadcast service panels) that have eight video feeds, twelve audio feeds and two fiber feeds.  As rooms where completed ASI began to bring systems back on-line for operation. Each of the edit rooms where tested and released for editors to get back to work.
