Time Warner Cable is well know for pushing the boundaries of technology, especially with its 24 hour news channels.  They are about to take news production one-step farther and have chosen Buffalo, New York, as the market to launch this new effort.   In early 2009, Time Warner Cable will debut a new 24 hour news channel that will feature efficiencies through automation that have not been utilized before in a market the size of Buffalo.  The television production facility will have a one (1) camera studio capable of hosting two (2) talent positions. The facility has a newsroom area for six (6) reporters, two (2) producers and two (2) Final Cut Pro edit workstations. The reporter stations will be capable of P2 ingest and desktop editing using the Dalet Editing application. The master control room will feature a large 65” LCD monitor fed from an Evertz VIP processor. The new facility is a radical departure from the other news models created by Time Warner cable for New York 1 and other regions. This critical endeavor has been awarded to Azzurro Systems Integration (ASI).
